Merit Badge University is an opportunity for Boy Scouts to learn skills, develop hobbies, and interact with fellow scouts and the counselor. Each class will be capped at 20 scouts, so register early! Accompanying adults are also asked to register for the event. Registration will close on February 15th, 2019 at 11:59PM. The event will take place over the course of two days, March 2nd, 2019 and March 23rd, 2019 by the Alpha Phi Omega, Kappa Chapter at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Scouts are required to come to both days to complete all the requirements and be eligible to receive their merit badge. More information on schedule of the day and course information will be sent out at the end of registration. Food will not be provided at the event!
Carnegie Mellon University is excited to announce that we will be offering the following seven merit badges: Chemistry, Communication, Citizenship in the World, Plumbing, Engineering, Robotics, and Architecture. Citizenship in the World and Robotics will be full day courses, and the other five merit badges will be half day courses. A scout is welcome to register for one full day course or two half day courses.
